AN OFFER the vendor couldn’t refuse resulted in a family home in Torquay selling before auction.
Melbourne buyers will be making the sea-change after snapping up 8 Ceduna Close for $830,000.
Hayden, Torquay agent Michael Nemeth said the offer was put forward before the auction and after contacting all other interested parties the vendors accepted the offer.
“The buyer was from Melbourne and it suited all their purposes as it has lots of space for the grandkids,” Mr Nemeth said.
The two-storey house is on 720sq m of land and has three separate outdoor areas to entertain in.
Two bedrooms and a loungeroom are located on the ground floor while upstairs is the open-plan living area plus two more bedrooms including the main bedroom.
This allows the couple to just use the first floor when it is just them and then open up the rest of the house for family.
The median house price in Torquay has increased 9.7 per cent in the past year to $776,000, according to CoreLogic.
